we had the It was a great pleasure to participate in the show *Løvens Hule*. The team behind Wavell consists of Hjalmar, Emil, and me. We’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and have previously tried our hand at other projects, including in both furniture and gadgets. That’s why we’ve been following *Løvens Hule* ourselves since Season 1, and it’s always been a big dream of ours to participate in the show.
Although our previous projects were on a much smaller scale than Wavell, they’ve been a big part of our journey to this point. However, it wasn’t until we combined our inner entrepreneurial spirit with our deep passion for sound that we broke through to create something unique. That combination culminated on Thursday night with Christian Arnstedt and Jan Lehrmann joining our sound journey. We’re both humbled and extremely proud of this.
We’re incredibly excited to get started working with Christian and Jan—big things are coming in 2022 that we can hardly wait to show you.
WHO IS WAVELL?
(Pronounced “Wave-Well,” but very quickly)
Just three years ago, both Hjalmar and I were in China. There, we discovered just how much of the price you pay for electronics goes toward paying for the logo on the device. We made this discovery through our passion for great sound, as we were introduced to a lot of new audio products in China—which, of course, had to be tested. We tried ahugenumber of headphones, and it’s important to note that by no means were all of them good or even remotely promising. Most of what we tried was, as expected: Ready to be tossed straight into the trash
. However, there were a few outliers that, quite frankly, could be described as“a diamond in the rough.” Often, they were difficult and illogical to use, and the sound required major tweaks to achieve the right performance. But there really was potential that, once we’d tried them, was very hard to forget.
Fast forward 7 months, and our first pair of headphones, the Wavell ONE—with the help of Emil, who has since joined Wavell—is ready to go on sale in Denmark. Never before—perhaps with the exception of the recording for *Løvens Hule*—have we been as nervous as we were when the launch of the Wavell ONE was about to take place. Fortunately, it was well received, and Wavell now delivers sound to over 7,000 Danes.
It is precisely the foundation and values that started Wavell that still define us to this day. It’s our passion to fill the ears of all Danes with great sound at a great price. We’re still a long way from our goal, and that’s exactly why we appeared on *Løvens Hule*. Electronics and audio are a very competitive industry, and the extra support we’ve received from Christian and Jan will push Wavell in the right direction for further growth.
